Some vessels have achieved even greater reductions when maintaining a constant power level throughout their journey. A case study from a large client operating combination carrier vessels of 70,000-82,000 dwt over a 10-month period (January to November 2024) showed an impressive average fuel savings of 6.37%, with some voyages reaching fuel savings as high as 13.56%.
