To address these challenges, Akar Group implemented StormGeo’s Vessel Performance solutions. The platform provides centralized access to technical, commercial, and environmental performance data, enabling teams to monitor vessel performance in real time and make more informed operational decisions.

According to Azaklı, the solution has significantly improved both operational efficiency and compliance capabilities. “We can monitor the technical, commercial and environmental performance of our vessels in real time through a centralized and reliable system,” he explains.

Driving Performance Through Data and Digitalization

With greater visibility into fleet performance, Akar Group has strengthened its ability to identify performance gaps, take corrective action, and support data-driven decision-making. The company has also achieved improvements in fuel optimization, energy efficiency, and environmental performance, while simplifying emissions reporting and compliance processes.

Looking ahead, Akar Group is participating in a high-frequency sensor data initiative with StormGeo and Alfa Laval. The pilot project supports the company’s broader digitalization strategy and aims to unlock even greater performance insights through enhanced data collection and analysis.
