StormGeo is proud to announce that Alla Sapronova, Lead Data Scientist at StormGeo, has been named one of Norway’s 50 most prominent women in technology for 2025. The recognition comes from Abelia, the business association of Norwegian knowledge- and technology-based enterprises within the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprises (NHO), and ODA, the leading Nordic network for diversity in tech.
Now in its ninth year, the initiative aims to celebrate role models in the tech industry, inspiring more people – particularly women – to pursue careers in technology. The 50 women in tech are selected by a jury based on their technological expertise, concrete contributions to the field, and dedication to diversity and inclusion in tech.
“It’s an incredible honor to be named one of Norway’s top 50 women in tech,” says Alla Sapronova. “Technology is driving not only our solutions but shaping the future, and I’m excited to apply cutting-edge technology to help our clients improve safety, optimize efficiency, and maintain sustainability. This recognition is a testament to the great work we do at StormGeo, and I am proud to be part of a team that employs technology to make a difference in day-to-day operations.”
Alla holds a PhD in Physics and Mathematics and has more than ten years of experience in applied data science, process modeling, R&D activities, and software development. As a Lead Data Scientist at StormGeo, Alla plays a key role in delivering machine learning powered applications and data-driven solutions to support decisions in the renewable energy sector, electricity consumption forecasting, and the shipping industry.
StormGeo congratulates Alla and all the women recognized in this year’s list for their invaluable contributions to the tech industry.
