Bjarne Schieldrop

Chief Analyst Commodities at SEB

Bjarne has more than 20 years’ experience from commodity markets. He has worked with analysis, market modelling, structured deals as well as trading of commodities for some of the largest commodity trading companies in the world. For several years he worked with research and forecasting of the CO2 price in the European carbon market (EU-ETS) involving European energy politics, fossil fuel and power markets. Since 2008 he has held the position as Chief Analyst Commodities in SEB covering energy, metals, agricultural products as well as precious metals. The oil market has been his primary focus over the past five years. Bjarne has a MSc in applied mathematics from the University of Oslo.

Under his leadership, Bodecker Partners advises clients on various aspects of renewable energy projects, such as Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), renewable energy certificates, and carbon markets. Fredrik Bodecker's expertise is instrumental in helping companies navigate the complexities of the evolving energy landscape, including the shift towards sustainable energy sources and the impact of new technologies and regulations on energy trading

Chief Analyst, StormGeo Analytics

Sigbjørn Seland, Chief Analyst at StormGeo Energy Market Analysis, holds a Master of Science in Finance from NHH Bergen and the University of Mannheim, Germany. A former trader at Drammen Kraft AS, he is an expert in Nordic and European energy markets, with a focus on power and gas dynamics, energy trading, and the impact of weather on renewables. Sigbjørn Seland's insights have been featured in several prominent publications, including Energi24, Energibransjen, and Dagens Næringsliv

Mathilde Tybring-Gjedde

A Member of the Norwegian Parliament representing the Høyre (Conservative Party)

Mathilde Tybring-Gjedde is a politician from the Høyre (Conservative Party) in Norway. She is currently serving as a Member of Parliament for Oslo during the 2021-2025 term. Her primary role is as a member of the Energy and Environment Committee. She also serves as a deputy member of the Election Committee.

Advocating for reduced symbolic politics and effective emission cuts, she supports expanding public transport, reforming taxes to favor green choices, and promoting new green industrial projects like carbon capture and storage.

Nina Winther-Kaland

Director Data Science, StormGeo

Nina Winther-Kaland joined StormGeo in 2007. Nina holds a PhD degree in Physical Oceanography. She is specialized in numerical modeling of ocean currents and waves, and has expertise in all aspects of operational oceanography. Her operational role in StormGeo is Research Manager and she has previously been working as Senior Scientist in StormGeo.

Carsten Torbergsen joined StormGeo in 2022 as Senior Vice President Ocean, based in Oslo. He is commercially responsible for StormGeo’s ocean business and a team of industry experts focusing on Offshore O&G, Offshore Wind, Aviation and Training. Before joining StormGeo, Carsten gained +10 years of experience in the energy- and maritime industry, whilst working for companies like Rystad Energy and Wilhelm Wilhelmsen. He holds a BBA degree from BI Norwegian Business School.

As Chief Commercial Officer at StormGeo, Jostein Mælan oversees all our industries' sales, business development, and commercial aspects.

Jostein joined StormGeo in 2007 and his formal meteorology and management background has contributed significantly to the company's growth.

At StormGeo, he collaborates with our experts and dynamic teams, working tirelessly to ensure that our technology excellence and deep weather understanding guides our customers safely and efficiently, amid a changing world and a harsher climate.
