Bjarne has more than 20 years’ experience from commodity markets. He has worked with analysis, market modelling, structured deals as well as trading of commodities for some of the largest commodity trading companies in the world. For several years he worked with research and forecasting of the CO2 price in the European carbon market (EU-ETS) involving European energy politics, fossil fuel and power markets. Since 2008 he has held the position as Chief Analyst Commodities in SEB covering energy, metals, agricultural products as well as precious metals. The oil market has been his primary focus over the past five years. Bjarne has a MSc in applied mathematics from the University of Oslo.

Fredrik Bodecker is an expert in European energy trading and the founder of Bodecker Partners, a consultancy firm specializing in renewable energy and environmental markets. His extensive knowledge and experience in energy markets, particularly in the European context, enable him to provide valuable insights into the industry's trends and challenges.
Under his leadership, Bodecker Partners advises clients on various aspects of renewable energy projects, such as Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), renewable energy certificates, and carbon markets. Fredrik Bodecker's expertise is instrumental in helping companies navigate the complexities of the evolving energy landscape, including the shift towards sustainable energy sources and the impact of new technologies and regulations on energy trading

Sigbjørn Seland, Chief Analyst at StormGeo Energy Market Analysis, holds a Master of Science in Finance from NHH Bergen and the University of Mannheim, Germany. A former trader at Drammen Kraft AS, he is an expert in Nordic and European energy markets, with a focus on power and gas dynamics, energy trading, and the impact of weather on renewables. Sigbjørn Seland's insights have been featured in several prominent publications, including Energi24, Energibransjen, and Dagens Næringsliv. 

Anders Lie Brenna is a seasoned Norwegian journalist and currently serves as the editor of EnergiWatch, a publication dedicated to in-depth coverage of the Norwegian energy sector. With a strong background in energy journalism, Brenna has previously held leadership roles at Europower and enerWE. Since the launch of EnergiWatch in 2022, he has led the publication’s mission to provide comprehensive reporting on Norway’s energy industry. This publication operates as a Norwegian branch of Denmark's EnergiWatch, allowing for expanded industry insights across Scandinavia.

Mathilde Tybring-Gjedde is a politician from the Høyre (Conservative Party) in Norway. She is currently serving as a Member of Parliament for Oslo during the 2021-2025 term. Her primary role is as a member of the Energy and Environment Committee. She also serves as a deputy member of the Election Committee.

Advocating for effective emission cuts, she supports, reforming taxes to favor green choices, substantially increasing the production of renewable energy and promoting new green industrial projects. 

Arne Lind is a Senior Analyst at Statkraft, where he focuses on Europe’s energy transition toward 2030 and beyond. With extensive expertise in energy systems, solar power, and hydrogen, Lind brings a wealth of experience from his 14-year tenure at the Institute for Energy Technology (IFE). At IFE, he worked as a researcher and department head, specializing in advancing sustainable energy solutions.

Fredrik Horn Hansen holds an MSc in Marine Technology and brings nearly 20 years of experience in the energy industry, spanning oil and gas project development, corporate strategy, and renewables business development. Currently, he leads a team in Equinor’s Renewables Strategy and Commercial Solutions division, specializing in offshore wind bidding strategy.

Nina Winther-Kaland joined StormGeo in 2007. Nina holds a PhD degree in Physical Oceanography. She is specialized in numerical modeling of ocean currents and waves, and has expertise in all aspects of operational oceanography. Her operational role in StormGeo is Research Manager and she has previously been working as Senior Scientist in StormGeo.

Carsten Torbergsen joined StormGeo in 2022 as Senior Vice President Ocean, based in Oslo. He is commercially responsible for StormGeo’s ocean business and a team of industry experts focusing on Offshore O&G, Offshore Wind, Aviation and Training. Before joining StormGeo, Carsten gained +10 years of experience in the energy- and maritime industry, whilst working for companies like Rystad Energy and Wilhelm Wilhelmsen. He holds a BBA degree from BI Norwegian Business School.

As Chief Commercial Officer at StormGeo, Jostein Mælan oversees all our industries' sales, business development, and commercial aspects.

Jostein joined StormGeo in 2007 and his formal meteorology and management background has contributed significantly to the company's growth.

Julia Weiss, leads our Marketing and Communications team. Appointed as the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at StormGeo in November 2022, she draws upon her extensive experience in the energy industry to drive growth and foster innovation across sectors. With a robust background that encompasses senior positions at Rystad Energy and Volue, Julia exemplifies dynamic leadership.

Sigurd Lie is an accomplished energy market analyst at StormGeo, specializing in European power markets, coal dynamics, and the EU Emissions Trading System (ETS). With 26 years of experience in the energy sector, he focuses on evaluating market trends, price developments, and the implications of regulatory changes. Sigurd's insights are valuable to industry stakeholders navigating the complexities of energy transition. He has been occasionally quoted in publications such as Montel and Bloomberg, contributing to discussions on key topics impacting the European energy landscape. 

Bengt Longva is a seasoned energy market analyst at StormGeo, specializing in European power market forecasting and analysis. Since joining StormGeo (Nena) in 1998, he has provided expert insights into market trends, pricing dynamics, and regulatory changes. With prior experience as a portfolio manager at Drammen Kraft and a research assistant at the Centre for Applied Research at NHH, Bengt’s expertise is frequently featured in Montel, Bloomberg, Europower, and various newspapers. 

Pål Svendsen holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from NTNU Trondheim. He previously worked as a project engineer and project manager at Vattenfall Power Consultant and SWECO. Pål is an expert in Nordic and European energy markets, specializing in developing modeling tools to simulate hydrological balance, as well as power and natural gas market dynamics.

Mari Eggen Krabberød is a Quant Energy Analyst at StormGeo Analytics, where she specializes in developing and maintaining data structures and in-house pricing models for Nordic and European energy markets. She holds a Master of Science in Mathematical Finance and a Ph.D. in stochastic process theory from the University of Oslo, Norway.

Before joining StormGeo, Mari gained industry experience at DNB Risk Modelling, where she developed risk models related to the bank's capital requirements. Her strong analytical background and expertise in quantitative finance make her a valuable asset in the energy sector, contributing to more accurate forecasting and decision-making.

Frode Håvik Korneliussen is a meteorologist and the Head of Operations at StormGeo, where he oversees the company's 50+ forecasters globally within the offshore, media and energy sectors. With 20 years of experience as a weather forecaster, he has developed a particular expertise in forecasting for the energy industry. His focus has included sub-seasonal (monthly) and seasonal predictions, with a strong emphasis on teleconnections and their influence on European weather patterns. Using this knowledge StormGeo have been able to enhance forecast accuracy by developing tools and products that provide deeper insights beyond traditional model outputs.
