About the Role

At StormGeo, we build weather products that help industries make safer and smarter operational decisions. As part of our next-generation platform, Vortex brings together meteorological expertise, advanced analytics, and tailored decision support for clients whose work is directly affected by weather.

As a QA Engineer, you will be focused on manual UI testing, API testing, and clear test documentation. If you enjoy understanding how products work, asking questions, and helping teams deliver reliable software, you'll feel at home in this role. You will work closely with developers, product owners, designers, and other QA specialists in a C#/.NET and Angular-based product environment.

This role suits someone who wants to understand the product beyond individual tickets and test changes with business context in mind. Weather domain knowledge is a plus, but not required. Experience with test automation is also welcome, but this is mainly a manual QA role.

This position is based in Vilnius, or Kaunas, Lithuania.

Main Responsibilities

  • Review requirements and business rules early with developers and product stakeholders to clarify expected behavior and define test scenarios.
  • Prepare test cases, checklists, and test data with a focus on areas of highest business impact and risk.
  • Execute manual UI, exploratory, and regression testing.
  • Test API behavior and edge cases using Postman and Swagger/OpenAPI.
  • Report defects clearly with reproduction steps, evidence, and impact.

Core Requirements

  • 2+ years of manual testing experience across UI and API testing.
  • Strong analytical skills for test analysis and problem investigation.
  • Solid experience creating and maintaining QA documentation.
  • Continuous product learning, with interest in business workflows and end-user needs as the software evolves.
  • Constructive collaboration style: able to raise risks, challenge unclear requirements, accept feedback, and communicate professionally during disagreements.
  • Improve team testing practices by suggesting practical changes and better ways of working.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Playwright, Cypress, or other UI automation tools.
  • Experience in shipping, weather forecasting, logistics, or related domains.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub, Docker, or similar development tools and workflows.
  • Interest in using AI tools to improve efficiency in day-to-day QA work.
  • ISTQB Foundation Level certification or equivalent practical testing knowledge.

Company Offers

  • Smart, creative, and innovative environment, all within a flexible hybrid work model.
  • International development opportunities to support your professional growth.
  • Private health insurance.
  • Home office support (IT workstation equipment provided + a personal budget of up to 400€ for home workplace furniture).
  • Quarterly team-building events and even more fun and memorable moments together with StormGeo.
  • The salary range 3000-4500 EUR gross per month, with the final offer depending on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
