About the Role

StormGeo is actively looking for a motivated candidate to join our Europe North Sales team as a Business Development Manager based in Norway. This role entails providing cutting-edge weather support to marine and offshore operations. We are seeking an individual with strong skills in new business generation, solution selling, and a background in (or experience with) this market. As a valued member of our sales team, the selected candidate will receive full support from our global Offshore Industry experts, meteorologists, and customer service specialists. 

This role primarily focuses on engaging with key clients in the Offshore E&P sector, marine contractors, rig owners, survey companies, Offshore Wind developers, marine services providers, and related industries. You will primarily interact with technical and procurement departments within these organizations. We are seeking candidates who possess excellent negotiation skills, knowledge of the offshore industry, a consultative selling approach, and the ability to establish swift and effective relationships with colleagues, key stakeholders, and decision-makers. 

Main Responsibilities 

As a Business Development Manager, you will primarily work with customers and prospects in the Offshore Energy market. In addition to developing your own client base, you will receive a well-established portfolio of clients, including some of Norway’s largest companies. Specifically, you will contribute to the following: 

  • Build, execute sales and pipeline strategy for Offshore Energy companies in Norway 
  • Present StormGeo, our products and services in person and via online meetings, industry events and social media 
  • Achieve and surpass growth targets defined for the covered sector and region 
  • Understand the core needs of each client segment and build an effective value proposition 
  • Design and implement an outreach program together with our regional marketing team 
  • Manage interactions through the company’s CRM system 
Core Requirements  
  • Track record of successful sales performance in Professional B2B sales, with a minimum of 2-4 years of experience 
  • Knowledge of the offshore and/or marine industry, including its dynamics and key players 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a strong command of business principles 
  • Fluency in verbal and written English language 
  • Energetic and self-driven individual with a strong commercial mindset 
  • The ability to effectively manage and prioritize your own activities
