Energy focus

At StormGeo, we redefine weather intelligence by embracing the entire ecosystem of nature. Beyond temperature, wind, and precipitation, our solutions integrate factors like ocean currents, vegetation patterns, and environmental dynamics to offer a detailed, thorough forecast that enables organizations to take informed actions that work with, not against, nature.

Case - International Paper

Shipping Focus

International Paper serves over 25,000 customers across 150 countries as one of the world’s leading producers of fiber-based packaging and pulp. Hurricanes and tropical storms can halt operations and threaten safety at their Wilmington, North Carolina facility, so they rely on StormGeo’s 24/7 access to meteorologists and site-specific forecasts. When Hurricane Florence hit the Carolinas in September 2018, StormGeo helped the plant prioritize the safety of their employees and operations, even transforming the site into a place of refuge during the operational recovery.

"Safety always comes first, so we used StormGeo’s wind profiles to determine the exact times when it was most dangerous to be inside the plant for our onsite crew. At the same time, StormGeo’s rainfall projections allowed us to retain resources for transportation and food prior to the hurricane impact."
