About the Role 

StormGeo is seeking a skilled and innovative Technical Lead to join our team and drive the development of high-quality software products. In this role, you will lead a software development team, ensuring the quality of the product's technical design, development, and deployment. You will play a crucial role in both hands-on coding and technical leadership, overseeing architectural decisions, conducting code reviews, and ensuring adherence to security best practices. 

As a Technical Lead, you will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to align technical solutions with business needs. Additionally, you will mentor team members, conduct one-on-one meetings, and foster a high-performing, collaborative team culture. 

This position is open to candidates located within Lithuania, offering flexibility to work remotely or from our offices in Vilnius or Kaunas. 

Main Responsibilities   

  • Design, develop, and maintain user and management portals for the maritime industry, facilitating safe navigation and operational monitoring. These portals ensure regulatory compliance and enable seamless planning and oversight of vessel activities. 
  • Oversee the development process from conception to deployment, ensuring adherence to quality and security standards. 
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce security guidelines to maintain high standards of code integrity and security. 
  • Manage team dynamics, motivate team members, and resolve conflicts to ensure a high-performing team environment. 
  • Collaborate with Systems Architects and other Tech Leads to align architectural frameworks and design principles across projects. 
  • Lead the integration of cybersecurity measures at all stages of software development to protect systems against emerging threats. 
  • Monitor and report on project progress and development milestones to upper management. 
  • Ensure documentation is complete, current, and stored appropriately. 
  • Keep abreast of new technologies and cybersecurity trends to continually enhance the team's capabilities and the company's offerings. 

Core Requirements 

  • Proven experience as a Technical Lead. 
  • Strong expertise in .NET (C#) and related frameworks. 
  • Experience with Azure Cloud Services (App Services, Functions, Storage, Azure DevOps, etc.). 
  • Solid understanding of software architecture patterns, design principles, and best practices. 
  • Experience in DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (IaC) for cloud deployments. 
  • Strong database skills with SQL Server or other relational databases. 
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and secure coding principles. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical challenges efficiently. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Ability to manage project timelines, tasks, and priorities while ensuring team productivity. 
  • Experience working in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environments and participating in sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Frontend development experience using Angular. 
  • Proficiency in API design (RESTful, GRPC).
