About the Role

StormGeo is seeking a dedicated and meticulous QA Engineer to join our team and contribute to the quality assurance of our software products. As a QA Engineer, you will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including developers, product managers, and stakeholders, to ensure that our software meets the highest standards of quality and reliability. Your role in systematically testing and verifying our applications will be instrumental in upholding excellence in user experience and overall product performance.

Main Responsibilities

  • Test Planning: Develop comprehensive test plans, including test strategies, test cases, and test data, based on project requirements and specifications.
  • Test Execution: Execute test cases to identify defects, issues, and inconsistencies in software functionality, performance, and usability.
  • Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing to ensure that new code changes do not negatively impact existing features and functionality.
  • Bug Reporting: Document and report defects, issues, and anomalies with clear and concise descriptions, including steps to reproduce.
  • Issue Tracking: Utilize issue tracking systems (e.g., Jira) to monitor and manage the progress of reported defects and issues.
  • Test Documentation: Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports for audit and reference.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement within the QA process and actively participate in process enhancements.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and designers, to resolve issues and improve product quality

Core Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in manual software testing
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Basic knowledge of QA methodologies
  • Attention to Detail and effective time management skills to prioritize testing tasks and meet project deadlines
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
  • Test Documentation - capability to create clear and organized test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
  • Basic Knowledge of Testing Tools - familiarity with testing tools like Jira or similar tools for test management and defect tracking; Event viewer (or alternative logging tools), Hyper-V (or alternative VM tools)
  • Willingness to stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in QA
  • Would be considered as a big plus – experience testing API
