About the role
StormGeo is seeking a visionary and strategic Product Director to lead the development and execution of our product strategy within the digital shipping platform domain. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of our SaaS applications, ensuring they align with market demands and deliver exceptional value to customers.
As the Product Director, you will be responsible for driving the business strategy in collaboration with the Business and Support Owners within the domain. While you own and manage the strategy, it is developed collectively to ensure alignment with market needs, operational efficiencies, and business growth.
Leading a team of Product Managers, you will translate strategic objectives into actionable roadmaps and oversee execution, ensuring our products maintain a competitive edge in the shipping industry. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact in a dynamic and evolving sector, where technology is driving efficiency and innovation.
This position is open to candidates based in Lithuania, Norway, Denmark and Sweden.
Main Responsibilities
- Define and drive product strategy within the digital shipping platform domain, ensuring alignment with business goals and market opportunities.
- Collaborate with Business and Support Owners to shape strategic direction based on market insights, customer feedback, and business objectives.
- Lead and manage a team of Product Managers, ensuring they effectively translate strategy into actionable development work.
- Oversee the development and execution of product roadmaps, ensuring timely delivery of high-impact features and improvements.
- Ensure seamless collaboration between Product Managers, Engineering, Sales, and Operations to drive product success.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and continuously optimize based on data-driven insights.
- Advocate for customer needs, ensuring that solutions address real-world challenges and enhance value for users.
- Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to keep our solutions ahead of industry demands.
- Foster a culture of innovation, agility, and continuous improvement within the product management team.
- Represent the product vision both internally and externally, ensuring clear communication and alignment with stakeholders.
Core Requirements
- Proven experience as a Product Director, Head of Product, or Senior Product Manager in a SaaS or software development environment.
- Strong strategic mindset with the ability to define and execute a product vision aligned with business objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor Product Managers, driving high performance and execution.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Sales, and Operations, in a fast-paced environment.
- Deep understanding of product lifecycle management, from ideation to delivery and ongoing optimization.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data-driven insights for decision-making.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing at all levels of the organization.
- Industry experience in shipping, logistics, or maritime technology is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in tools like Jira, Confluence, and product analytics platforms.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written) to collaborate effectively across teams and international markets.
